Baileigh Milling Machines
Baileigh’s line of vertical milling machines are the perfect fit for any machine shop or tool room. All of our vertical mills come with NST 30 or 40 spindles for an extra rigid transfer of power from the inverter driven (most are Yasakawa®) head. Meaning no pulleys and gear drives but only offering solid power to the cutter for heavier cuts and longer tooling life. The inverter drives also means that each model is variable speed.
Power drives are on the X, Y, and Z as well as Digital Read Outs (DRO’s are Mitutoya® in most cases) on several axis allowing for smoother chip removal, hands free operation, and tight tolerances. On most models of our milling machines there is an Air Draw Bar system to easily load and unload tooling.
Heavy Meehanite® castings and hardened and ground ways treated with Turcite® B coatings ensure heavier cuts and offers very tight tolerances for decades of service. Each machine is finished off nicely with way skirts, coolant skirts and a Halogen Light for good visibility. A Baileigh vertical knee mill is finished properly and all features are factory installed offering the customer the confidence that our milling machines are of a higher quality than most.
