Sheet Metal Shears – Standard & Heavy Duty Range
Baileigh’s hydraulic shear line consists of two versions of machines, a standard or heavy-duty version depending on your shearing requirements. Depending on the shearing demand, both versions have been built and constructed to last for decades of service in most sheet metal and fabrication shops.
Standard-Duty Sheet Metal Shears
The standard-duty sheet metal shears consists of nine different models ranging in widths from 52” up to 120” with cutting capacities from 14-gauge (Mild Steel T.S. 64,000 PSI). Each model comes standard with a powerful industrial grade hydraulic system, front supports, back supports with mechanical back gauge and easy to use operator cabinet with foot pedal controls. These hydraulic shears come standard with carbon chromium blades that can be flipped four times on the bottom and twice on the top before having the blades re-sharpened.
Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Shears
The heavy-duty hydraulic shear line consists of six different models to choose from that can accept maximum sheet metal widths from 52” up to 120”, with maximum thicknesses up to ¼” (Mild Steel T.S. 64,000 PSI). All models come standard with heavy duty-frame construction that consists of thick plate steel that is bolted then electro welded into perfect alignment for the most grueling operations schedule within the machines capacities. The upper shearing carriage runs along heavy duty ground and hardened ways while running further under pressure against hardened rollers on the back and sides of the carriage slides, noting that the front is trapped against the heavy duty ground and hardened ways. Thus, a three point system is in place to ensure perfect alignment which extends blade life and improves cut quality. These hydraulic shears come standard with rake adjustments to reduce curling, front and back supports with manual back gauges, cycle counters, jog controls, position indicator lights and easy to use control stations with foot pedal controls.
Heavy Duty Metal Shears
Some of the heavy-duty sheet metal hydraulic shear line comes standard with gap adjustments and computerized and automated back gauges. All of the HD models come with a full length shear guard. The bottom blades of the HD modes can be flipped four times and the top blades can be flipped twice before having to be re-surface ground, maximizing blade life. This heavy-duty sheet metal shear line has been constructed to work 24/7 in fabrication shops or metal shops where heavy shearing is required within the capacity of the machine.
