Baileigh’s VM-942 milling machine is solidly built with tons of standard options for an economical price. The casting of the machine is forged using Meehanite® for extra rigidity meaning, less vibration, offering better tolerances and longer tool life. The spindle on the head is a robust NST # 40 which offers a better transfer of power from the variable speed transmission, than an R-8 spindle would.
The X, Y & Z axis of the VM-942 milling machine are induction hardened, then surface ground and finally treated with Turcite-B® offering a longer and more precise life. All three axis have a power feed that is coupled to a three axis DRO (digital read out). The J-Head is variable speed producing speeds as low as 60 up to 4200 RPM.
Like all Baileigh milling machines there is a lot of value in this model for a moderate investment that will offer the machinist decades of service.
