We are very pleased to offer a drill press for the modern machine shop and fabrication shop in an inverter driven head that has a simple speed potentiometer adjustment to change the RPM of the quill. A RMP readout display gives you the exact speed of the quill. Having a true variable speed machine allows the machinist the ability to find the right speed for all sizes of taps, and drills that in turn will increase tooling life.
We offer three versions of our variable speed drill presses, with mild steel capacities of 1”, 1-1/4” and 1-1/2”. Each machine comes with a heavy cast iron table with massive T-slots to hold materials or a vise securely. A powerful coolant system washes chips away as well as keeps tooling cooler and sharper, extending tooling life. The DP-1500VS comes standard with a power down feed and auto reversing tap feature.
