Baileigh’s HB-14418 sheet metal bender has a 12’ long beam and can bend 18 gauge mild steel and 22 gauge stainless steel. At 12’ long this massive bender is made up of an electro welded steel plate beam, apron and support frame members. It is further supported by a very heavy-duty truss rod system that ensures crisp bends at full capacity even in the middle of the beam and apron.
This straight brake has a removable angle support so the operator can get very close to the previous bend. Heavy counter weights are adjustable for different materials. This is very important if you’re doing heavy production of a specific size and material. The beam gap can be adjusted by separate hand wheels on both sides of the machine.
Like all Baileigh sheet metal brakes, the HB-14418 has induction hardened bend dies. The heavy clamp arms use a cam motion to lift the massive beam as well as lower the beam to clamp the material. This sheet metal brake has a degree of bend dial as well as a stop rod bend angle system that allows for repeatable bends every time.
